Wood as a fuel
Wood is a renewable fuel source. When burnt it only releases the same amount of CO2 into the atmosphere as it would release if it were allowed to decompose naturally.
Overnight burning
You can burn most Aarrow stoves for long periods and overnight. Choose the right fuel and follow the instructions in your stove manual and you will keep your home warm and cosy on those long cold winter nights.
Chimney sweeping
We recommend that you sweep your chimney at least once a year, or twice if you burn large amounts of wood. All Aarrow stoves have a removable or dropdown throat plate to make chimney sweeping easier.
Seasoned wood?
Seasoned wood is wood that has been cut, split and stored for 18 months or more in a way that allows the moisture to evaporate from the wood. Seasoned wood is distinguished by its light weight, radial cracks and hollow sound.
