I've recently purchased a house with an Aarow stove installed that I would like to refurbish. It is identified as 'Aarrow Fires Nouveau' on the doors - I assume that it is an Aarow Nouveau 7 Multifuel looking at the possibilities on the website.

I have no manual or installation instructions, and these don't seem to be available as spare parts - does anyone know where I could obtain them?

Without these I'm a bit lost with the terminology - for example, what's a 'throat plate'?

I want to repaint the stove and would like to remove the door glass to do this. The nuts/studs holding the glass clips in place look rather rusty/corroded - am I likely to shear the studs if I try to remove them? If I do shear them are they easy to replce?

There seem to be two types of liner sets available - how do I tell which type I need? Seems to depend on the 'throat plate' type...

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Colin.

Hi Colin

I can send you an operation manual if you forward me your e mail address.

A throat plate is what fits at the top of your stove

Liner set you will need a AFS1016 £44.06 + vat, Unfortunately we cannot sell it directly to you, you will need to contact Rangemoors 01837 83770.

You can also buy the paint from Rangemoors, if the studs do shear off you will have to get them re studded, hopefully it won't needed to be done.

I hope this helps you

Kindest regards

Thank you for the very quick reply - my e-mail address is chursell@btinternet.com. No doubt the operation manual will have an illustration of this 'throat plate'.

How can I tell which model I have - are there other markings? There is some kind of alphnumeric number stamped into the front lower side of the opening left when the dorrs are open. Otherwise there are only a few raised numbers here and there on castings, which I took to be part numbers.

If the studs do shear (I'll give it a try...) are they available as spares? How are they fitted? Interference fit or drilled and tapped?

Thanks,

Colin.

I have emailed you the operation manual so I hope you can read it o k.

There is only one Nouveau.

If the studs do shear of they will have to be drilled and re-tapped hopefully you can do that yourself or you will have to take them to a local fabricator.

Kindest regards

Again, many thanks. I've received the manual and can read it OK. The parts list in the manual is particularly useful for assistance in ordering the parts I need. I'll contact the company you mention in your earlier post.

Best regards,

Colin Hursell.
